…its been a very busy couple of days…and as far as NaNo goes…Unproductive. Friday I spent the whole day AM to PM at the hospital. The girls had multiple appointments that day. But it sure beat driving to and fro all week. And the diva got good news, she only has to go back to her allergist if we increase the dairy in her diet or add apple back into it. Otherwise her EE is under control!! (Pancreatic disorder, acid re-flux meds, and miralax all still in play). For the little bit, all normal stuff…but everything was just schedule all at once to save gas money. The little man will have a day like that in December. So then Saturday was trash day and visiting family for their birthday, then picking up my grandmother and well no writing happened. Today HA…today was if it could go wrong it will…now I’m writing at 10:30pm and yes I could be NaNo-ing it but my creative brain is dead for the night. Fighting kids, grumpy hubby, and house work hell….NOTHING went as planned today. So tomorrow…everyone in the household better give me at least an hour to knock out a few thousand words..LOL.
Okay time for bed…good night all…(crossing fingers and praying kids sleep all night…as that hasn’t happen in over 2 weeks and the bags under my eyes are showing it…)

Day 3 NaNo

So a complete change of directions and story….In other words from 2097 to 1425, but the night is young and this story is flushed more. And fits more to my mood. Its one that I’ve reworked the beginning several times already. So hopefully this will help…keep me focus and my butt in the chair writing.
Of course with the darling colds the children have brought home, yesterday’s sore throat brought on a day of sleep. SO the girls have popcorn, the hubby just walked down from upstairs (he has the cold too), and the little man is playing video games. So a bit of writing time for me…and oh yes house hold chores were partially done…aka dishes and laundry. Or I should say the never-ending chores because as soon as they are done there’s more. Anywho…butt’s in chair so let’s get some more writing done while I can…

NaNoWriMo…Day 1 report
Published November 2, 2011 Uncategorized , writing 3 CommentsTags: doctors, life, NaNoWriMo, ramblings, randomness, writing
Okay so I am doing the NaNoWriMo this year. Yesterday I only got to do 1097 words. Need to step it up today, but need to get into the doctor’s office first as my darling sore throat is killing me (day #4 and its worse than it was). Tylenol and Ibuprofen are no longer working. I’d like to thank my darling children for sharing their school germs with me. When they were sick they only had a fever and headache. Anyway…I’m still trying to figure out my NaNo page and how to track my words there but in the mean time I’ll do it here.
I decided on a girlie story…A romance with a bit of drama. Anyway…time to call the doc’s office and then to write…and hit at least 2000 words today for Day 2…more would be better though!!

So today it’s cold, it’s snowing, and the kids are bummed cause trick or treat was rescheduled (yes, now it will actually be held on Halloween). Don’t get me wrong I like snow, just at Christmas, not Halloween. But the kids are so in the mood for to watch the movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas, it would so fit with today’s weather.
And you know what….yesterday Christmas music was playing on the radio (Let it snow) and the advertisements for Christmas have started…BUT I want to hear the Monster Mash and watch Hocus Pocus and Teen Witch for a whole two more days….Is it too much to ask that we get through Halloween before we start Christmas? I LOVE Christmas too, but I like Halloween as well. Come on people one crazy holiday at a time…..

Booby Adventure: Tonight’s Phone call…Yes this call actually took place!

The phone rings and I read the caller id…its my grandmother.
“You remembered?” I say, as she called a half hour ago and forgot what she was going to tell me.
“How the hell do you get this thing on?” She says.
“Get what on?” I ask.
“This damn sports bra! Its stuck.”
At this I start laughing and try to walk her through putting on a sports bra.
“Okay what’s wrong?” I ask still laughing.
“Its rolled up at my neck.”
“Okay…,” laughing, “pull the front down over your boobs.”
“How am I supposed to do that when the thing is rolled up to my neck and my boobs are on my lap?”
Snorting and laughing, “You pull your boobs up one at a time and tuck them into the bra.”
Enter husband and the priceless look on his face and he turns around to leave the room.
Now I’m almost peeing my pants at this point laughing as she is so exasperated on the phone. And between breathes tell the hubby that my grandmother is stuck in a sports bra.
“One one fits.” She informs me. And I’m laughing. “And the back is still rolled. AND now my hands stuck with my boob.” I am laughing so hard, I’m choking and coughing. “I gotta get this thing off. How the hell am I supposed to get this off?”
“You just pull it back over your head, just like a shirt.”
“Jaws of life work.” Hubby throws in.
“I’m gonna have to cut the damn thing off. It looks like I have a watermelon for a boob. They don’t separate.” She says. In other words she got her hand free and the second boob in the bra. “They’re coming out the bottom too. Why are they doing that?”
“You have to adjust your boobs.”
“I’m taking the damn thing off. I’m going to try the other one. It looks bigger.”
Repeat previous conversation…
Then she asks…”Do they make these things in elephant sizes? Oh no I’m burning my fish!”
I hand up with her so she can tend to her dinner…she calls back minutes later.
“Had to take the damn thing off. It was choking me and I couldn’t eat.”
I had to hang up to put kids to bed…and have to call her back…I’m just waiting for my ribs to stop hurting from laughing so damn hard.
**And yes this was my actually conversation with my grandmother and I know I missed a few other funny comments such as WD40 for removal of the bra…but damn I was laughing so hard trying to remember everything…and yes I still have to call her back. Which is what I am going to do now!
Have a great night everyone!!!

…Where does it seem to go? I’ve been busy so my poor blogs have been neglected. Well okay I caught up some on my one photo blog, but the other I haven’t had time to work on. And then there’s this blog. Poor neglected blog. Well today I was baking and working on the normal to do list (sort of…I got some of the laundry done), and playing on the computer. The kids are home early from school…half day. The rain seems to have stopped. Thank goodness!!! This poor area can absorb anymore water. The one lady at the bus stop drove through a neighboring town and said it was sad because she saw houses in sink holes.
Now where I live it’s all mined out…I keep joking with friends that at the rate this year is going (earthquakes, hurricanes, and flooding) our town is going to be underground…you see its all mined out. One road is closed because a mine air hole opened. And at this moment a few are closed because the creeks are out of their banks. So could the sun please come out and the rain go visit the folks out west that need it.
Any way…I’m hoping for a nice weekend so we can take the kids out to do something fun and I can snap a bunch of pictures.

This summer has been a go gogo type of summer…always something to do or some place to be. Today’s adventure included a trip to the hair dresser where my little diva chopped off all her hair. Her choice. She looks adorable.
We just got home from the beach but we really haven’t been at home but on the go go go. I just updated my two photo blogs….please check them out. And since I took so many pics I will be updating for the rest of the week. Later maybe I’ll get into our wonderful adventures on here…but for now. I’m still around just out and about!

So spring is finally here…the flowers are blooming, the grass is green, and the trees have their leaves!! And the kids can play outside!! I’ve been snapping pictures a lot lately, thanks to all the flowers! And haven’t been writing nearly enough. And not just my blogs but stories I’ve been working on. Once the good old to do list of spring cleaning is done, I hope to be able to write more. I also can wait for school to be done for the kids so the germs stop coming home!! We spent Easter at the hospital thanks to a gastro virus that dehydrated my little diva. But all is well now, thank goodness!!!
Hopefully Mother’s Day (and our Easter redo) will be a fun filled day!!! I hope all the Moms out there have a super day!!! Happy Mothers day!!

Its Sunday…

Okay I’ve been busy and haven’t been blogging…forgive me…
So this week I had a birthday party for the girls! The baby turned two and my little diva is turning 7 (little man turned 10 last month). They are growing way too fast. I made bite size BBQ chicken wrapped in bacon, mini hotdogs wrapped in bagel, popcorn chicken, french fries, there was veggie tray, chips, and I made mini brownies. They were yummy but the paper stuck to them.
Lesson learned, next time make the brownies then put them in the paper!! The girls had fun it was just family and close family friends. This is the second time the girls got to celebrate. Last weekend they got to have cake with Mom mom and Pop pop and go roller skating! And can I say only my kids go roller skating and fall and hit their heads. LOL…Okay it was only the little man. But still. The kid plays football and is fine goes skating and whacks his head. Needless to say the baby, little man, and me all ended up playing in the arcade.
Tomorrow is Peep day! The baby and I will head over to help out at the farm. I’m hoping to get some cute pics to edit. But for now its kids playing at the house! The baby is down for a nap, the diva has a friend over and is playing and the little man is playing his video games. So now its time for me to do the dishes and all the other wonderful house hold stuff. Especially since the baby decided to pull off her pull up and pee all over her bed today. Oh the joys of motherhood!
Enjoy your day out there…until I get another minute to blog…TTFN
